Hinged wooden game board for chess and backgammon, handmade and decorated with mosaic from the wood of various local trees (rosewood, lemon, walnut), supplemented by valuable mother-of-pearl inlays.
This vivid-looking design was first used by a monk to design furniture and living rooms in the 19th century and is still produced by hand in the same way in countless variations.
